The Social White House

The AVA2016 platform promotes the idea of developing standards for governance around home and main street metaphors that mimic original tech concepts like the desktop and home page. These ideas became standards for computing and allowed technology to spread across the globe. By creating pods standards around basic human necessities like food, clothing, shelter, healthcare & sanitation, we'll be able to streamline certain solutions en masse while enabling hyperlocal customization.

Our nation's home can then become a Social White House: A #DesignThinking studio, showroom and model highlighting Sustainable Living Pods solutions from neighborhoods all over the country.

Well designed UIs are consistent whether at the Global Brand or individual location level. Our new field, called Human Experience Design (#HXD) moves from screen to real life, applying the same #DesignThinking to governance as we’ve come to expect from our digital environments.

Why not design real world experiences with the most fascinating “rock stars” of every sector and industry, then watch them at dinner parties, galas, intimate one-on-ones talking about the stuff that *really* impacts us?

The Social White House

Here, we'll be coordinating flow time with other wayfinders in order to work on issues facing our nation. Guests will be afforded delightful accommodations, including a space designed for their specific “flow” passion, whatever that might be. We’ll post our guests’ profiles online prior to a scheduled wayfinder gathering & everyone can participate in designing spaces we believe will delight our nation’s best and brightest thinkers. Check out Ava's wayfinder model we'll be using in various locations throughout America. After the election, this will simply scale up, using the White House as a basecamp for similar wayfinder #DesignThinking initiatives and problem solving. The guests invited will be strategic to the initiative at hand, but will be selected from trended thought leaders as recognized online by American citizens. Our goal is to mashup these trended thought leaders in a comfortable environment in order to focus on specific issues so we can generate new ideas & new ways of organizing ourselves in this digital age. The media we create will be posted online and will also trend. Ideally, we'll address issues at the White House in #Wayfinder mode so we can post our #DesignThinking prior to congressional presentations & voting

In this new era of social diplomacy and transparency, treating people with dignity & respect is essential. We'll be exploring lost art of social graces in order to remember how to engage politely with people from other fields and backgrounds.

Correcting the nastiness in our political environment is an imperative. If we want to get the best out of folks, we need to mind our Ps&Qs. Lots of us don't even know what that means anymore: formal manners kind of went out of style with the revolutionary sixties and seventies. Many of us have experienced the soul-sucking environments of office politics & have road-raged, whether literally or verbally or otherwise, with the best of them as a consequence. Enough! #BrandUSA wants to communicate: you are welcome here as our honored guest. Your insights & expertise matter to us. If Ava does nothing but to set high expectations for us with an accompanying elegant standard of behavior, she'll have done our nation a tremendous favor. 

At our new Social White House, the greatest minds from every field will be woo’d. We’ll make sure to ask the most cutting-edge thinkers in microbiology, genetics, transportation & infrastructure, education, law enforcement etc to join us so we can ask them consistent questions from our platform/framework. For example: 

  • Ask a physicist how his work applies to an elementary school child. 
  • Ask an agricultural engineer how we can ensure domestic tranquility through her field work. 
  • Ask a pediatrician about securing the blessings of liberty.
  • Ask a spiritual leader to talk about clean energy with a solar power developer. 
  • Ask a manufacturer to chat about messaging tiers with a communications director. 

This could be done any way we choose. Party games? Events? One-on-one conversations in the garden.  DigitalStorytellers/Journailsts/ skilled in interviewing, but still conversational will be engaged to enjoy a residency with us.

Ava believes that our new job in social governance will be to simply create lovely environments, where the real world meets digital, for the ridiculously talented individuals we already have in the United States, then have a standardized format for gleaning their wisdom. If our framework is consistent (see Ava’s age groups, developing themes, tiers, and brandUSA attributes- starting with the preamble) then what Mr. Genius Guy or Ms. Mind-boggling gal has to say about what we should be paying attention to in their field should feed into every area of our lives: in other words, there will be education, nonprofit and for profit applications to everything they say. 

For that reason, Ava is also running for First Lady.

Showcase hospitality brands by inviting them to "Run the House"

While running the White House (their concept of greeters, concierge etc. ) they will also highlight the “sister neighborhood” where they are developing a #NeighborhoodHospitality concept. So if they’re working on a gulf coast neighborhood hospitality concept, we’ll expect to see decorative & thematic nuances of that region in White House for the week/month/quarter of their tenure, depending on our social calendar

Trending chefs to take over kitchens: highlight the #LocalFlavor from every people group across the nation

Segments with Ava & others on how to prepare and serve unique dishes 

Cover cultural etiquette per people group, use of particular utensils 

Serve same or similar cuisine in White House branded food trucks in D.C. 

Share the recipes & social media cooking shows (guest include: Iron Chef, No Reservations, Top Chef etc.) to produce programming while staying at the House.
